Bruno Chersicla was born in Trieste on October 10th, 1937.
A painter and engraver, he attended the State Art Institute and the Conservatoire of his town.
He exhibited his first paintings in 1958.
In the 60s he joined the avant-garde group "Raccordosei" and took part in the activities of "Arte Viva".
During that period he worked on the most important liners, such as the "Raffaello", "Galilei", "Oceanic" and rhe "Eugenio C.".
In 1966 he moved to Milan, where he taught graphic design for a few years and made scenographies for the Trieste "Teatro Stabile di prosa" and the Milan "Piccolo Teatro".
He took part in the most important and significant national and international Exhibitions, among which the "Mostra dei giovani scultori italiani" at the Rotonda in Milan, in 1982 and in the celebrations for Joyce's centenary in Trieste.
In 1984 a monography was published by "La Seggiola" entitled "Chersicla, forme e difforme" with an introduction by Osvaldo Patani.
In the same year he was invited by Fernanda Pivano to the Artists and Writers Show, Rotonda, in via Besana, Milano.
In 1985 he was invited to the Beaubourg and to the Paris Conciergerie, where he exhibited Some great wooden sculptures for the "Trouver Trieste" exhibitions.
One of his works is the sculptured-door of the Savini Restaurant in the "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele", Milan.
